Cleaning cheap window blinds

You may have installed cheap window blinds for your windows at home or at the business; however, by maintaining and keeping these cheap window blinds clean and dust free, they will provide a long time of classic look and feel. Now it does not take much to clean and keep the cheap blinds clean and essentially dust free. As people walk around your house or as customers sit with you in your office, their eyes invariably roll to observe paintings on the walls and window blinds and such and if they see an inch of dust settled on the window blinds, regardless of if they are expensive ones or simply cheap blinds, they will form a not so good opinion of your home or organization.

I recommend cleaning window blinds every week with a simple feather duster to remove the settled dust partcles. Every fifteen days you should take a simple hand held vacuum cleaner with a small tip attachment and vacuum off the dust from the slats, side rails and bottom rail of your window blinds. Once a month take compressed air available in cans that computer technicians use to keep the fragile computer components clean and simply use a little bit around the cord entry holes. Once every two months, take a cloth dipped in warm water and ring it well to eliminate all of the excess water and gently wipe off any stains and hard spots that have formed on the window blinds. Using furniture cleaning sheets like Pledge sheets or Armorall sheets can be helpful also.

Do not use heavy cleaners such as heavy degreasing agents on wood blinds because they will simply destroy the flatness of the slats and they might start warping. Nothing is more ugly than looking at warped window blinds. When it comes to cleaning blinds, a little bit of maintenance goes a long way in preserving the elegance and ensuring longevity.
